Gilded Grey Edge of Fall

Are you getting ready for Halloween? Every retailer is! Let me help you out. I have a giveaway going on and I'm giving away 2 sets of SH's 'Pumpkin Spice' and 'Black Out.' You can go here and enter.

Summer's not over...yet. Not that I'm trying to rush it out the door. (SLAM! And good riddance!!!) However, there's just no way I can stop myself from getting the new Fall polishes. Here's why...

This is 'Grey' (yawn) from Forever 21's Love & Beauty. Boring name however, it gives you a pleasant surprise when you can catch it in the right light.  Check out the first photo. This is a murky grey that has swirls of antique gold in it.

In January, I showed you this look in a blue formula here. On that same post, I also showed it in purple. I'm confident that I have a red one around here too. I should look for that and, the weekend of Labor Day, get you ready for Christmas by reviewing it. (sarcasm)

I took photos of his mani in all different angles and light to see if I could capture the real look of 'Grey' (yawn).

I'm still growing out the nail enhancement fiasco. Hence, my stepping away from doing a lot of manicure looks for the moment. So, thanks for bearing with me. :/

This is 3 coats with a top coat of Sally Hansen's 'Teflon Tuff.' That gives it a really deep-looking shine.

This photo gives you the best representation of the color, right on the middle finger. However, it also is the best shot of the simply hideous state my nails have been. I refuse to file down any more as my nail beds are weak and still growing out from file burns from the nail salon tech. (Boooo)

I'm going to name this polish 'Gilded Grey.' It may not want to show off in photos but the soft gold shimmer inside a murky grey is beautiful. And it's one of the coolest greys for the Fall.

Can you bring yourself to move on to Fall nail polish shades?

I love the gold shimmer. What a great surprise! It really adds some nice dimension to the grey :-) I love fall - nice crisp weather and my husband loves to do some fall baking. His apple pie and pumpkin bread are awesome! :-D

@JeezTrendZ Click on the world and it will take you to the site where you can get yours. I loved watching it fill up and celebrated when I got a dot in very continent, save for Antarctica. ;)

@Playing With Polish You are making my mouth water! We got married in the Fall and used to make it an annual trip to drive on Colonial Parkway in Williamsburg, VA. It was like a scene out of a calendar. :)

At first, I swear the bottle pic reminded me of China Glaze Wagon Trail. Then not so much in the rest of the pics....until the last one!

Love the fact that LA girls makes their polish- I got the non store branded one a year ago and it is TOPS! love the cobalt blue and gold too!

Is it really gold shimmer inside? Looks for me just dark gray. Indoor it looks the same or more like black?

@kittypolishnbags I don't have Wagon Trail, rats.

@MissMidnight I thought it was interesting too. Just enough difference to turn my head. :)

@Breeoxd I learned that LA Girls makes these last year. I didn't know that. I really love the gold shimmer more than silver too.

@Una Sadly, I had a hard time capturing the true look of this polish. It isn't black, that's for sure. It's very murky dark grey. The very first photo of the bottle shows the gold shimmer the best.
